3DS has now topped the six million mark in Japan according to Famitsu. Enterbrain a retail tracker in Japan, Famitsu’s publisher, the 3DS crossed the mark this past week in its sixty-fifth week since launch.
The system’s total from February 26, 2011 through May 20, 2012, is 6,017,206 units.
The previous major sales milestone for the 3DS was when it crossed 5 million at the 52 week mark reported Media Create. The system was able to beat DS and Game Boy Advance to that milestone, making it the fastest system ever to five million in Japan
