Prey is one franchise that has had a rough time, after years of waiting for a sequel to the original game it simply vanished off the map never to be seen again. Many of us hoped that one day Prey would return and you know what it has, but don’t go expecting Prey 2 or the story of the original game to be continued, the new game is simply titled Prey and I assume this is more or less of a reboot.
The developers of Dishonored Arkane Studios are bringing us Prey and hopefully this will work out quite well. You character is Morgan Yu, a man aboard the space station Talos 1 in the year 2032, and the subject of several morally dubious experiments to improve humanity. When an alien force takes over and begins hunting you down, it’s up to you to fight back and get to the bottom of things.
I don’t really know what to expect from this game right now but this re-imagining should prove quite interesting providing a decent psychological horror experience. Prey is due out in 2017 on all major platforms, and Bethesda will tell us more when Quakecon rolls around later this year. You can watch the fresh reveal trailer below:
