Spider-Man 2: Film Style Animation And Comic SFX Settings Explained

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is a beautiful game with graphics that can amaze many players. However, you can make your gameplay more interesting by activating the Film Style Animation and the Comic SFX settings. If you are curious about how to unlock these special visual effects, you can read our handy guide, which will explain this topic in detail.

Spider-Man 2 Film Style Animation And Comic SFX Settings Guide

You can unlock Film Style Animation and Comic SFX by obtaining any of the Spide-Verse movies’ Suits. The fastest outfit you can unlock is Peter’s Noir Spider-Man Suit, which becomes available once you reach Level 20.

Other Suits you can purchase to activate the special visual effects are:

  • Into the Spider-Verse Suit – Unlocks at Level 30
  • Into the Spider-Verse SB Suit – Unlocks at Level 33
  • Across the Spider-Verse Suit – Unlocks at Level 44

Spider Man 2 Unlocking Film Style Animation And Comic SFX

Once you craft one of these outfits, the game will notify you about the newly unlocked Film Style Animation and the Comic SFX settings. You can access these visual effects by going to the Options Menu and selecting the Settings options. Under the Visual section, you will be able to toggle on and off Film Style Animation and Comic SFX.

The Film Style Animation setting will alter the animation of the character who is wearing a Spider-Verse suit. Unlike the smooth and realistic default movement, Film Style Animation will mimic the animation of Spider-Verse movies by making Spider-Man move in fewer frames.

On the other hand, Comic SFX will add extra flair during battles. If you read any comics, you may already be familiar with the written sound effects that accompany comic characters.

Spider Man 2 Comic SFX Bonk

With the Comic SFX setting activated, you can see these special sound effects pop up in your playthrough. Whenever you perform a Finisher, a large SFX bubble will burst out near the final hit. For example, you may see the word “Bonk!” appear when Spider-Man smashes a criminal in the head.

That is the end of our guide about the Film Style Animation and the Comic SFX settings. For more Spider-Man 2 content, you can check out the links below this post. I also recommend reading our guide on Hero Tokens since you will need a bunch of them to unlock Miles’ Spider-Verse Suits.
