Dark Souls II: PC Release Date And Requirements

The console release of From Software’s Dark Souls II is fast approaching next week, and players are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the game. But what about the PC version?

While March 11 will see Dark Souls II come out on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, PC gamers will have to wait until April 25 to play. This may seem like a long while to wait, but keep in mind that the original Dark Souls took nearly a year to reach PC in the form of the Prepare to Die Edition, which came out on August 24 2012 while console versions were released October 4 2011.

In the meantime, however, the developers have given gamers a chance to make sure their computers are capable of running at launch, by releasing the system requirements for Dark Souls II on the game’s Steam Page. Players can pre-purchase the digital version directly from Steam, and will also receive early access to various in-game weapons and shields, along with the game’s soundtrack, a PDF version of the artbook, and the Dark Souls II digital comic.
