Destiny: The Collection Revealed

If you were looking to jump into Destiny now, then what Activision and Bungie have just revealed might be what you’re looking for. Destiny: The Collection is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The collection will feature the entirety of the Destiny experience, and some timed exclusive bonuses for the PlayStation 4.

For those yet to jump into the world of Destiny, this collection is your perfect opportunity offering a full experience that will allow for hours of playtime. For $59.99, players will get access to Destiny, Expansion I: The Dark Below, Expansion II: House of Wolves, The Taken King, and the upcoming Rise of Iron. Furthermore, this expansion will also offer players a consumable that will instantly put their Guardian up to level 40 to making the game even for newcomers.

Alternatively, this new collection will also work for those playing on what is considered “legacy consoles” which include the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For those who own the Taken King and are upgrading within their own console family you will be able to get the Collection for $40.

Additionally, Bungie has also revealed the content that will be available as part of a timed exclusivity deal with Sony and Activision. This includes:

  • Quest line: Show of Strength – “While you serve the Vanguard in the Plaguelands, I wonder if you’d be so kind as to help me understand the more brutal aspects of the Devil Splicers’ brand of worship.” – Tyra Karn. Successfully completing the quest line yields you a new ship, the Timeless Tereshkova
  • PvP Map: Icarus – Set in the Languid Sea on Mercury, this Golden Age solar farm has been left untouched for unknown reasons. This mid-sized map is compatible with any 6v6 mode and features a good mix of long sight-lines and close-combat environments. The main chamber’s closing doors are dangerous, but provide a fast way through the map’s center.

Xbox One users should note that this timed exclusivity usually lasts a year.
