The first expansion for the ever popular Diablo III will be available on March 25th, 2014! It promises to add more content, weapons, and characters.
The Prime Evil rages within the Black Soulstone, its essence screaming for vengeance and release. Before the artifact can be sealed away forever, Malthael – Angel of Death – manifests in the mortal realms with a deadly new purpose: to steal the Black Soulstone and bend its infernal power to his will. In this new expansion, players will be able to experience Act V, which stretches from the streets of West March, to the Pandemonium Forest. An all new character class, known as the Crusader, will be available, along with two additional character slots, and the ability to strengthen any character, with a new level cap. A new gameplay mode, known as Adventure mode, will allow players to access waypoints for any Acts, and introduces Nephalem Rifts and Bounties. There’s also a newly designed loot system.
And if that wasn’t enough to entice players to return to the world of Diablo III, those that choose to purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will not only receive the Reaper of Souls Expansion, but a few interesting bonuses as well. Players can get their hands on the Spectral Hound minion, Malthael-inspired weaponry, and aesthetic artifacts. There’s also a Treasure Goblin for World of Warcraft, and Starcraft II Crusader Portraits and decals!
The Standard Edition will retail at $39.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition for $59.99!
