Fruit Ninja movie announced

2016 appears to be the year of video games getting movie adaptations, or at least some getting announced. This year alone we are getting child friendly adventures with the Ratchet and Clank movie, we got a pointless Angry Birds movie, and then we are getting two big adult movies based on games in the form of Assassin’s Creed and Warcraft. Now for the future we can add another movie to the list of future movies based on games, and guess what this one is stupid.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Halfbrick Studios Fruit Ninja is getting a movie adaptation. The studio is teaming up with producer Tripp Vinson (best known for his work on 2015’s San Andreas) to adapt the game for the big screens, with J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani penning the script. I don’t think we can really expect much from this movie and this is just showing how out of ideas Hollywood is to decide to make this movie, what’s next Bear vs Art at least that game has a premise.
