Hackers reveal Roy as a veteran, Street Fighter’s Ryu as a newcomer for Smash 4

Another Smash 4 patch means another round of datamining. This time, a few huge pieces of information were found in the sound files: Victory themes for Ryu and Roy. Roy’s theme is the same as all other Fire Emblem characters, and Ryu’s is Ryu’s Theme from Street Fighter. Some may dismiss this as a rumor, but The Killing Room Floor has verified this as true. Capcom already had their foot in the door after adding Mega Man, so getting some cross-promotion by adding Ryu was a great idea. Maybe he will be announced alongside a Wii U version of Street Fighter V? No other information has been found, so we’ll just have to sit tight until the E3 Nintendo Direct to see what Nintendo has in store.
