Halo Wars 2 will be playable at E3 2016

As E3 draws closer many of us are beginning to wonder what games will be shown off at the event, and what games will be playable by attendees. Much of what is going to turn up is still shrouded in mystery, but we now know another game that is set to be part of the event both in terms of being shown off, as well as being playable.

Microsoft has officially confirmed that Halo Wars 2 will not only be shown off, but will also be playable at E3. Halo Wars 2 is part of a big plan by Microsoft to show off many games at the event, with this particular game being a major showing. As of yet we have not seen much of the game since its reveal at Gamescon 2015, the game was revealed with a CG trailer and we have heard nothing about it since. So the question now is what has changed for this sequel? Well we will find out in a matter of weeks.

This reveal was made on Halo Waypoint by community manager Andy Dudynsky, this was around the top of the update notice for Halo 5 Guardians confirming the game for E3. He also teased something which surely provides a level of excitement, he stated:

“The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable. There’s also – well, I can’t talk about more just yet.”

I would not be surprised if Creative Assembly and Microsoft were to announce a release date for Halo Wars 2 at E3, for now though we know the game is headed to the Xbox One and Windows 10 at some point in the future.
