Many of us were surely expecting Mario Kart 8 to be a big seller for Nintendo and the Wii U and why wouldn’t be the games are fun to have with friends and to cause vendetta’s between each other, actually with that in mind I should actually question why anyone would play these games if they just ruin friendships because of a curing of any number of ruining devices, curse that blue shell. Either way I am getting off topic, since launch at the end of May Mario Kart 8 has gone on to sell 2.8 million copies of the games, 590,000 units were sold in Japan alone.
Wii U hardware sales are said to have been around about 6.17 million units in May. As such, nearly half of all Wii U owners have potentially purchased Mario Kart 8. Hopefully we will continue to see these sales numbers grow and achieve more and trust me the Wii U deserves it the console is brilliant and most of the games are well worth playing.
