Microsoft is preparing to reveal multiple games from Rare

The Nintendo 64 was truly the heyday for Rare, with several masterpieces that cemented them as one of histories greats in the gaming industry including Banjo-Kazooie, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Goldeneye 007 and even to under appreciated Jet Force Gemini. Sadly since Microsoft acquisition of the company Rare has gone downhill and its history spoiled and broken by a series of terrible games leaving the history cement full of cracks and uncared for. The company needs its chance to shine but over the last few years has been stuck with a series of dull Kinect games.

Though the company could be changing for the better, for a while now Microsoft has been teasing a “uniquely Rare” game as well as many hints that 2015 is going to be a “huge year” for Rare with the possibility of even seeing Banjo-Kazooie arriving this year. Recently Xbox marketing head Aaron Greenberg was a guest on a podcast, while speaking he revealed that Rare has multiple games in the works, and Microsoft is getting ready to reveal them. Here is what he had to say:

“It’s going through the process of preparing to unveil their next things, they have multiple projects in development and we feel really good about them.”
Personally I don’t feel like Banjo-Kazooie really fits with the Xbox infrastructure but hopefully whatever they have planned will be good,. We also must keep note that E3 is only a few months away so we could see many announcements then or even before, whatever happens we just have to hope that these games are actually good and not just pointless games like many of their 360 games.
