The news just keeps getting better for the folks at Mojang. We recently reported that the Playstation 3 edition of Minecraft sold over 1 million units in the month following its release, and the game has not lost any momentum since. The PC and Mac version of the game has now sold a total of over 14 million copies worldwide.
Since the game’s exposure to the public eye back in 2010, this indie game has exploded in popularity. The game has since been ported to Xbox 360, iOS and Android, and of course Playstation 3, with plans to release on Xbox One and Playstation 4 later this year.
Both the Xbox 360 port and Minecraft – Pocket Edition for iOS and Android are reported to have sold over 10 million copies each, bringing the total sales for the game itself to over 35 Million copies.
