The Last of Us is one of the best games I have honestly ever played in my life and ever since I played it I have hoped for a sequel. Many rumors have shown up over the past year relating to a potential sequel, but one mistake of sorts could have officially made it a reality that there is indeed a sequel in the works.
Popular voice actor Nolan North, best known I would say for his work in the Uncharted games, and his small role in The Last of Us may have just shared the news that the sequel was in the works when he was doing a question and answer. North was asked if there he had any other projects lined up with Naughty Dog after Uncharted 4, to which he responded with the following :
“I know they’re doing a Last of Us 2 but my character in Last of Us kind of had an untimely demise.”
Now it could be a simple thing of he is just mistaken, his answer is quite simply detailing why he doesn’t have any other projects lined up with Naughty Dog. Though it is possible he could have heard something from one of the games cast members, either way North himself is well known among the gaming fanbase and is a believable source.
There is the one thing that does let him down though with the knowledge that yes his character from The Last of Us is dead, so it is unlikely he could return. But there is still a chance that he could know this because he himself has a new character given his range as a voice actor. For now only time will tell.
