Those who know me are aware that I absolutely loved Life is Strange. This game was the epitome of episodic adventures showing just how great a consequential narrative could be done, and the question I ask of people now is: (if you haven’t already) why have you not played this masterpiece?
I can’t recommend this game enough and think you really should give it a shot, and you know what, now you can. Dontnod Entertainment has made the first episode of the series free on all platforms, this includes the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. This offer for Life is Strange is going to be available indefinitely as a taste of the game really driving you to want to continue (trust me), Square Enix who published the game has even thanked fans who have already played Life is Strange, and have encouraged them to spread word on this offer.
Truly there is nothing more that I can say about this game apart from this needs to be played, the game has a compelling mystery and narrative that drew me in and made me want to keep playing. So long as you have one of the available platforms there is no excuse this is a gaming gem that needs to be experienced and I doubt you would regret it. Just make sure that you try to find a physical copy once you find your in love.
Is it available on PSVITA?
Unfortunately not, unlike Telltale I don’t think Dontnod Entertainment saw a point in putting this on the Vita. If you have access to a Playstation 3, 4 Xbox One, Xbox 360, or PC you can play it there, otherwise you are out of luck. I’m disappointed that these games never come to the Wii U myself, but here’s hoping for the Nintendo NX to have better luck.
