Wii U version of Call of Duty Black Ops III most likely not happening, still being suggested

Hope continues to fade that we might see another Call of Duty game arrive on the Wii U even after the recent implications thanks to the Call of Duty website but as long as something is mentioned we won’t fully give up hope. Earlier today with Black Ops III’s reveal it was confirmed that the game will only arrive on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, however an excerpt from a Eurogamer article does make some kind of hidden suggestion:

“We’re working on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. That’s it,” he (Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia) added. As for other platforms such as PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and – stop smirking at the back – Wii U? We were directed to Activision, which said it had no further platform announcements at this time.

It is worth noting that Lamia never said that the game would not be coming to the Wii U or even the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with the statement that Activision directed them to say that they had no further platform announcements at this time so nothing can officially be ruled out just yet. Hopefully we will get confirmation sometime in the future as has been the case with the Wii U version in the past, I just wish that they would either confirm the game or just directly tell us it is not happening rather then leaving the potential of the release drifting like a leaf on the wind.
