Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season One Content Delayed To December 16

Activision has confirmed that the first season of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone content been delayed until December 16. While players have to wait an additional six days, Activision confirmed in a blog post that a Double XP and Double Weapon XP Weekend, as well as free bundles, are on the way. This’ll create a “massive expansion of free content” as Black Ops Cold War and Warzone connect.

The content drop for Season One is “the largest free content drop in Black Ops history”, and comes with a “comprehensive integration of Operators, weapons, player progression, and Battle Pass rewards across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.” Upon launch, Warzone will go beyond Verdansk, with a new map and mode. There are more than 30 Black Ops Cold War base weapons to claim, Blueprint variants, and “a new Gulag experience.”

The post gives details to new multiplayer maps, 6v6 modes and playlists, the return of 2v2 gunfight, and a Fireteam map. Raid will be readily available to play from launch too, a 6v6 map from Black Ops II. There are free-to-acquire weapons, new Zombies modes, Season challenges, and a “full cross-title launch of the Seasonal Prestige system, with up to 1,000 Season Levels to progress through!”

As previously mentioned, Treyarch will be rolling out a Double XP and Double Weapon XP Weekend from 10AM PT on December 12, until December 16. A Pre-Season offer includes two free bundles: the “Field Research” and “Certified” Bundles. All players will need to do is to log in between 10AM PT on December 8 and 11PM PT on December 15 to claim them.

There are Black Ops Cold War updates due on December 8 and December 15, with an additional Warzone update rolling out on December 16. Activision thank the Call Of Duty community for their “tremendous support and patience. We’re honored to serve the most passionate community around.”
