A Bridge In Red Dead Online Launches Players Off The Map

Red Dead Online is famed for some rather absurd bugs, and this latest one bends the laws of physics. There’s a bridge on the map that can turn players into human catapults. The bugged bridge itself is by no means stable and appears almost possessed, shaking uncontrollably.

Take a step too close to this bridge and the next thing you’ll know, as the clip below demonstrates, you’ll be flung into the far reaches of the atmosphere. For a short time, the player can walk on air, but while everything goes up, it must eventually come down, leaving your player screaming to their unavoidable death when their superpowers disappear.

One of the earliest clips of the glitch in action was caught by a Reddit user, jaitom16, before Eurogamer later put it to the test, discovering the bridge and the bug remained active.

Best of all, the bridge has the power to send players to out-of-bounds areas of the map, such as Mexico. Mexico was a playable area in the original Red Dead Redemption, but was not available in the sequel, nor for online play.

Red Dead Online’s world has been riddled with bugs in the past, as previously reported, Rockstar’s 1.21 title update in the summer was met with a negative reception due to in-game errors.

One bug involved alligators raining from the skies into a swamp, and if that wasn’t bad enough, there were glitching horses and carts, as well as inaccessible wagons. Shortly after, Rockstar reverted to a previous version of the update across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
