Following last weekend’s cryptic glitched announcement, the Pokémon Company has officially announced what that new Pokémon is. As many fans suspected, it is Sirfetch’d, the Galarian evolution of Farfetch’d.
According to the Pokédex, Sirfetch’d can only evolve from a Farfetch’d that has won a lot of battles. It is currently not known how this Pokémon will actually evolve in terms of game mechanics. When it evolves, Farfetch’d loses its Flying and Normal typings and becomes pure Fighting-type and will gain the ability Steadfast. Sirfetch’d is exclusive to the Sword version, and is the first non-legendary version exclusive revealed.
Pokémon Sword and Shield will release worldwide on November 15, 2019, for the Nintendo Switch.
