Screenshot Saturday – May 29th and June 5th

Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, May 29, and June 5.

GameLuster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out the previous list here!

Coridden

This chaotic fight scene was shared by Aftnareld Studio’s Twitter page (@aftnareld) in this tweet. The scene is from Coridden, a co-op RPG about shapeshifting siblings, and it looks as amazing as it is confusing! The idea of a co-op game where you and your friends play as shapeshifters is really intriguing, and we are excited to see their upcoming trailer.

Freymakers

We don’t get to see many fighting games in Screenshot Saturday, so we were pretty excited to find out about Freymakers (@FraymakersGame) in this tweet. The game features multiple funny characters, and in this short video, we got to see one of the fighter’s ability animations in full detail. You can wishlist the game on Steam to be notified about their upcoming early access.

Hourglass

This simple and colorful scenery from the game Hourglass (@playhourglass) was shared in this tweet. The low poly models create a beautiful environment and are topped off with a mysterious pyramid in the distance. The game is planned to release this October, and you can wishlist it on Steam right now.

Kaylan

The solo developer @majdalani_alain shared the impressive work they have been doing on their upcoming project, Kaylan, in this tweet. The world design looks fantastic and truly impressive for an indie project. We don’t have much information on this upcoming fantasy ARPG, but we will definitely keep an eye out for it in the future.

Scarlet Hallow

This spooky and beautifully hand-drawn art from Scarlet Hallow was shared by the studio Black Tabby Games (@blacktabbygames) in this tweet. This horror game features even more of these beautiful artworks. The game’s release date is just around the corner on June 11th, and what’s better, is that you can play the first episode of the game for free right now on Steam!

An Exciting Preview

This untitled project under development by Section 9 Interactive (@section9int) was shared by the curator @N000mad in this tweet. The short video showcases a dark sci-fi themed world, zombie-like robotic monsters, and interesting combat and gameplay. We hope to see more of this project in the coming weeks.

Valley Peaks

These unique screenshots from Valley Peaks were shared by the developers (@TubClub_) in this tweet. The game world looks like hand-drawn watercolor paintings, and it looks gorgeous. The game has caught our eyes and we look forward to seeing more of it in the future.
