It has been a while since Ubisoft has said anything on the upcoming Donkey Kong content for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, but Ubisoft has finally broken their silence and released a new trailer showing off the new content.
The story of the new content will have players set out to battle a vengeful Rabbid Kong who has taken over a mysterious island. The content seems to provide a shakeup from the main game by creating a new team dynamic, the trailer only shows that Rabbid Peach is returning from the main game to team up with Donkey Kong and a new Rabbid hero, Rabbid Cranky. This journey will take the trio across four brand new environments seemingly inspired by the Donkey Kong Country games.
The content will offer slight changes for the gameplay, Donkey Kong will offer new options for gameplay with a banana throwing move which can hit multiple foes. There is also an ability to swing across vines on the battlefield to move Donkey Kong to new positions. Besides this, many of the crazy mechanics from the main game will be carried over.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: Donkey Kong Adventure will be arriving on the Nintendo eShop in June, readily available for purchasers of the season pass. A new Gold version of the game will also arrive in the future featuring the main game and the Donkey Kong content.
For Mario + Rabbids fans, Donkey Kong Adventure will provide more of what they love. Although it might make you wonder whether other new, or previously playable characters might show up in this adventure, we will just have to wait and see.
