Mortal Kombat 11 Revealed at The Game Awards 2018

Mortal Kombat is making its return in the spring of next year. At The Game Awards 2018, it was announced that Mortal Kombat 11 will release in April. The gruesome announcement trailer (seen below) shows two series staples, Raiden and Scorpion, duking it out in bloody fashion. The fighters are shown using weapons, as they impale each other many times.

At the end of the trailer, it is revealed that those who pre-order the upcoming title will receive Shao Khan as a bonus character, as well as beta access. Pre-ordering on PC has begun.

According to the game’s official description, we will be seeing customizable characters:

“The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best-in-class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.”

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on April 23, 2019. It will release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A full reveal for the game will drop in January.
