Release Date for Red Dead Redemption 2 Pushed to October 2018

Rockstar Games has finally announced a release date of October 26, 2018 for the much-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2.

This news is disappointing to gamers who were expecting a spring 2018 release. In addition, this will be almost a year after the original release date of fall 2017 made during the game’s official announcement back in 2016.

Rockstar addressed their fans, stating on their website that they “apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay,” and that they “require a little extra time for polish.” They also said that more information on the game will be released in the coming weeks.

While delays can certainly hurt fan approval for games initially, playing a game that has been perfected is much more important. With the success that Grand Theft Auto Online has seen, Red Dead 2 is certainly in good hands.

Rockstar also released more screenshots from the game, which can be seen below.
