Vader Immortal Is Coming To PlayStation VR

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series has been announced for PlayStation VR, as part of Sony’s State Of Play broadcast. Vader Immortal is a three-part series set on Mustafar, home to Darth Vader’s fortress.

According to a post on the Playstation blog, Vader Immortal will enable players to traverse Vader’s fortress, uncover ancient secrets beneath the planet’s surface, and learn to master the Force.”

Vader Immortal is the culmination of a partnership between two teams: ILMxLAB and Black Shamrock, with both units “working tirelessly to create an experience that won’t disappoint.”

All three episodes of Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series will be available from August 25, 2020. The title is already available on Oculus Quest, having been released May 2019, making this port the game’s major console debut.

Back in June, an official reveal trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons was unveiled following an unplanned store page leak. EA later confirmed Star Wars: Squadrons on PC would support joystick compatibility. 

The game’s creative director at EA Motive, Ian Frazier, responded to a user on Twitter, OKeeee, who’d asked: “Hey, will SW: Squadrons have official joystick support for PC?” Frazier confirmed that would Star Wars: Squadrons would “fully support joystick on PC, including full HOTAS rigs with a throttle.” Star Wars: Squadrons is due for release on October 2 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

In other State Of Play news, new details were confirmed for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time during State Of Play. The latest title from Activision will incorporate new play styles, platforming techniques, and introduce a brand new story. It’s About Time will further allow fans to play as one of four iconic characters: Crash, Coco, Cortex, and Dingodile.

Elsewhere, a short announcement trailer for Hitman 3 was unveiled during State Of Play. Hitman 3 will, for the first time, enable players to take on the role of Agent 47 in PSVR. Plus, the entire trilogy will also be supported by PSVR.
