Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival coming to Europe on June 26th

It is time to get your game on in Europe as Konami has announced the upcoming 3DS Yu-Gi-Oh! game for release. It is set for release on June 26th, that is only a few weeks away so you will be able to get your hands on Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival will arrive as a physical and digital product. If you purchase the former item, you’ll receive three highly collectable Yu-Gi-Oh! cards: Snow Plow Hustle Rustle, Night Express Knight and Special Schedule.

Here is an overview of the game:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival is based on characters and events from the popular TV series. The game centres on the titular World Duel Carnival where 11 playable characters are vying to compete. Each character has a bespoke card deck, and this allows users to get straight into the action as they select their favourite character and enter hard-fought duels with the cards they hold.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival also allows the player to develop their character’s deck, with advanced users able to build a custom deck from the 5,500 cards the game contains. Similarly, a total of 40 characters from the TV show feature in the game, who players will meet as they prepare for the tournament. Newcomers to the series will also be able to hone their skills courtesy of the game’s tutorial elements, making Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal World Duel Carnival the perfect jump-on point for newcomers to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Sadly at this point in time Konami has only announced that the game is coming to Japan and Europe, but I will be sure to let you know if anything is announced for America or Australia in the near future.

As a Yu- Gi-Oh! fan I lost interest when this series started as they just messed with the ideas far beyond comprehension, but for the younger audience who never knew the originals or even GX I guess this is as good as any series. One final note it’s time to duel.
