Sakurai has made no secret of the two versions of Smash Brothers having varying content. We already know that while we will be seeing the same characters between all versions of the game we also know that stages are set to be different between each version. With today’s picture from the 3DS version of Smash Brothers Sakurai has elaborated on some of the similarities in both version in the way of stages in his message. As usual Sakurai has passed on today’s picture of the day with this following message:
Pic of the day. In general, there are completely different stages in the 3DS and Wii U version, but we made Wily Castle and the special boxing ring available for both versions! We didn’t forget the Yellow Devil either. There may be some small differences in the stages, such as the 3DS stage appearing to be during daylight hours.
It is good to know that not all stages have been made different games and perhaps this choice to have Wily Castle stage to do with MegaMan and the boxing ring is just because they needed special or specific stages between games for a special reason. This could be argued that they needed a stage that fully represented the characters that they could use for things such as boss battles and other such things, maybe also the boxing ring is just a main course in the game and Wily’s Castle was the best representation for MegaMan.
