The Elusive ‘Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra’ Delayed To Early 2026

We’ve been waiting a long time to learn practically anything about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, an action-adventure game showcasing a team up of Captain America and Black Panther set during World War 2. It’s been quite an enigma since it was revealed with an incredibly slow news cycle, and we finally have an update – but it’s a delay. Originally scheduled for a holiday release this year, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is now set to come in early 2026.

The delay was taken to provide “more polish” and to deliver “the best possible experience” said the developers over at Skydance Games, in an equally mysterious and devoid of detail delay announcement. We had our first look at Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra at 2022’s D23 Expo, followed by a full title reveal in March 2024, along with a story trailer. There’s been surprisingly little news since then, with no real gameplay footage anywhere despite a new release date that’s still less than a year away even after the delay.

Fans online remain skeptical the game will even make the new early 2026 release date, given how little of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has ever publicly been shown, but Skydance do say they have “some exciting things in store”, and ended their delay announcement telling audiences they “look forward to sharing more soon”. Exactly what we get to see and when it will be, much like most things surrounding Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, is a mystery, but we’ll be sure to report on it when it happens.
