Terraria 1.4.5.7 Brings a Final Round of Bigger and Boulder Changes

Re-Logic has released Terraria update 1.4.5.7, a hotfix that brings new items, weapon adjustments, boss changes, and two new secret seeds. The update’s Steam patch notes, highlighted by GamesRadar, outline additions and reworks that go beyond a small round of fixes.

The update follows the long-awaited 1.4.5 release, officially known as Bigger and Boulder. Re-Logic has continued patching the game since that release, and GamesRadar describes version 1.4.5.7 as the last hotfix for the Bigger and Boulder update.

The new content includes staves, accessories, and materials such as the Kinship Peach, along with two new secret seeds. The patch also makes changes across classes and weapons, including adjustments relevant to magic-focused play.

One of the update’s gameplay changes affects the respawn timer. Players can now skip the wait when there is no major danger nearby. Yoyos have also received buffs and specific adjustments, including a change to the Eye of Cthulhu yoyo that causes it to spawn an Eye of Cthulhu when it hits an enemy.

Boss encounters have been adjusted as well. The Empress of Light is among the bosses receiving nerfs, while the Moon Lord has more clearly telegraphed attacks. The Deerclops‘ attacks also line up more clearly with their visual cues.

The patch is not limited to those changes. Re-Logic’s notes cover a broader set of additions, adjustments, and reworks, making the update notable for players returning after Bigger and Boulder. Players using magic, summoning, melee, or yoyo builds can consult the full patch notes for the detailed changes to their equipment and playstyles.

Although it is labeled a hotfix, 1.4.5.7 includes new content alongside its balance and encounter updates. With the update described as the last hotfix for Bigger and Boulder, it closes another round of post-release patching for Terraria.

The impact of the yoyo adjustments and other balance changes will depend on how they perform across different builds and encounters. For now, the official notes provide the full rundown of what arrived in version 1.4.5.7.
