Pokémon UNITE to end service on March 23, 2027

The Pokémon Company will shut down Pokémon UNITE on March 23, 2027, according to an end-of-service notice published on the game’s official site. Service ends at 00:00 UTC on that date, and players will no longer be able to log in or battle on Nintendo Switch, iOS or Android once it takes effect.

The Pokémon UNITE account on X shared the notice with players directly.

The notice gives no reason for the shutdown and says nothing about refunds. The Pokémon Company said it regretted having to end service and thanked players for their support over the game’s run.

The changes start immediately. Sales of Aeos gems are suspended as of October 27, 2026, and new UNITE Club memberships can no longer be purchased. Existing memberships continue until service ends.

What stays open until March

A November 12, 2026 update will add a farewell event with special Unite Coins, along with a Library feature that lets players look back on their time in the game. Players need to download the required Library data before March 23, 2027 to keep access after shutdown. Nintendo Everything reports practice mode will still work after shutdown; battles will not.

Esports wraps up first

Competitive play finishes before the servers do. Qualifier tournaments for Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo begin on December 5, 2026. The game was reportedly dropped from the Pokémon World Championships in July.

Pokémon UNITE launched on Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2021 and arrived on iOS and Android on September 22 of that year. The end-of-service notice begins winding down its Game Content Guidelines alongside the shutdown.
