Dead by Daylight’s Chucky Chapter leaves the store on November 24

Behaviour Interactive announced on October 23 that the Chucky Chapter and all its associated content will be removed from Dead by Daylight’s in-game and first-party stores on November 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET. Anything unlocked before that date stays in players’ accounts.

“On November 24, 2026, the Chapter and its associated content will be removed from in-game and first-party stores,” the studio said in the announcement on X. “Any content unlocked before that date will remain available to use in-game.”

A pattern, not a one-off

Chucky is the third licensed horror Killer to leave Dead by Daylight in under two years. Hellraiser’s Pinhead, who joined in 2021, was pulled from storefronts in 2025. Halloween’s Michael Myers, the game’s first crossover Killer after Dead by Daylight launched in 2016, was removed this past January after the Halloween licence expired and was not renewed. Behaviour has not said why the Chucky Chapter is leaving; the announcement only says it is time for it to leave the shelf.

Behaviour’s removal FAQ has become a familiar document for the studio. Current owners keep the character and can keep levelling The Good Guy and using his add-ons and perks, but cannot unlock additional outfits, and no future add-ons will be added. Bug fixes will continue. Perks move into the general Killer pool under new names: Hex: Two Can Play will be renamed Hex: Eye For An Eye from November 24.

The removals do not follow a rule. The Xenomorph is still in the game despite an announced second Alien Isolation, and Stranger Things’ Demogorgon content came back in 2023 after its own earlier removal, which shows delisted content can return. Dead by Daylight still sells crossovers as its lifeblood, from the Five Nights at Freddy’s Springtrap DLC to last year’s Witcher cosmetic collaboration.

Last chance pricing

A Last Chance sale cuts the Chapter DLC from $4.99 to $2.49. The sale began October 26 on the Epic Games Store, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, with PlayStation following November 2 and Steam November 10, with the staggered platform dates reported by Polygon. Behaviour’s own post says the content goes on sale on all platforms, with the stagger down to store timing.

The deadline for buying Chucky content is November 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET.
