Marvel Cosmic Invasion’s second expansion, The Siege of Castle Doom, arrives on November 10, 2026, bringing with it Castle Doom, a run-based roguelite mode that developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu detailed in a post on the PlayStation.Blog on October 26. The DLC lands on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
In Castle Doom, players fight through Victor von Doom’s stronghold in Castle Doomstadt to stop him before he activates the Cosmic Inductor, a flawed weapon built to thwart Annihilus that is destined to end the cosmos. The run has a built-in clock: a Siege Gauge charges each time the heroes are defeated, and if it fills before the showdown with Doom, the run ends on the spot. “Get ready to meet your Doom on November 10,” level designer Kevin Chiasson said.
Every encounter survived charges the Stabilizer, a Reed Richards creation that stalls Doom’s progress. Players gather Battery Cells along the way and pick their route through themed doors marked Equipment, Events, Heal, Infinite and Progression. A Perks system offers defense, damage and tactical upgrades from a collection of 12 perks, applied individually to each hero.
Dotemu announced the launch date and platform lineup in a post on X, calling on players to race the gauge and stop Doctor Doom before he can activate the Cosmic Inductor. The new game mode trailer is up on PlayStation’s official channel as well.
More than five times the encounters of the base game
Tribute Games says The Siege of Castle Doom contains more than five times as many encounters as the main game, on top of new events, traps and hazards. The developer’s own figure covers the DLC’s environmental challenges: freezing blizzards on the Castle Battlements and treacherous elevator platforms in the Tower of Solitude, where Doom runs his experiments. Doom Bots and bosses returning from the base game patrol the castle, and failed challenges debuff the player’s fighters.
Successful runs permanently unlock new equipment and events from Reed’s Lab, plus modifiers that deepen future attempts and new color palettes for heroes who defeat Doctor Doom. Composer Tee Lopes contributes original musical tracks, and in multiplayer an MVP system showcases the statistics of the most effective players in a run.
The DLC also adds two playable characters, The Invisible Woman (Susan Storm) and Doctor Doom himself, following an October 8 announcement. Reed Richards guides the heroes through voice-overs while Doom mocks their invasion of Doomstadt. A price for the expansion has not been announced.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a 2D action beat ’em up by Tribute Games published by Dotemu and Gamirror Games, launched on December 1, 2025.
