Square Enix is Teasing a New Bravely Default Title

It seems that Square Enix is teasing something for the Bravely Default series through Twitter.

The Twitter account for the RPG series has changed its name to “Bravely OOOOO.” In Japanese, an O can signify a blank space, hinting that a new Bravely title might be on the horizon. The account then released a tweet (translated by Gematsu) that stated: “It’s already been said, but – Octopath Traveler shipped one million units! Thank you so much! And now…!? Please keep your eyes on Square Enix 11th Business Division’s games in the future.” The tweet also showcased an image featuring the character Airy from the series. It is unknown if the image is teasing a new entry in the series, or a remake of one of the 3DS titles for the Nintendo Switch.

Bravely Default was first released in Japan as Bravely Default: Flying Fairy in October 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS. The game then made its way stateside in 2013. An expanded version, entitled For the Sequel, was then released in February 2014 in North America. The game’s sequel, Bravely Second: End Layer, was then released in Japan in 2015 and rolled out worldwide in 2016.

Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer are available now for the 3DS.
