This week’s EVO 2018 came with new announcements for Street Fighter V. Capcom announced that the King of Muay Thai, Sagat and a new Character by the name of G, will be available for download from 6th August.
That’s right! One of the original villains of Street Fighter will be crushing his way to Street Fighter V! Get it? Crush? Sagat first appeared as the last boss in the original Street Fighter back in 1987. He then made an appearance as the second to last boss in Street Fighter II: World Warrior, but was not playable until the Champion Edition of Street Fighter II was released in 1992.
Sagat will hold true to his original lean look from his debut. This will, however, be G’s first appearance in the Street Fighter series. G is an Uncle Sam lookalike though far more built, and he claims to be the President of the World, wanting to unify it. He boasts of earth based powers including magma, and draws his powers from earth itself. Check out the trailers for both characters below.
Both characters can be purchased for $5.99 or 100,000 fight money each. You can also purchase Street Fighter’s 3rd season pass for $29.99 which also unlocks Sakura, Blanka, Falke, and Cody.
