Following the Assassin’s Creed movie later this year, another of Ubisoft’s properties will be getting a movie adaptation sometime in the future. Ubisoft’s President Yves Guillemot announced that Watchdogs will also be getting the Hollywood treatment. Guillemot expressed his confidence in the AC movie, saying that it is shaping up nicely. Guillemot has shared that he feels a movie could benefit the franchise, which if done right is possible.
Ubisoft has stated interest in making a Watch Dogs movie before, which the actually announced after the original game was released but now they have reconfirmed their interests hopefully we will begin to see production get somewhere. Hopefully Watch Dogs 2 will receive better acclaim and this will fully come to fruition which was a likely problem with the movie upon its original debut.
