Advance Wars 2 arriving on the North American Wii U Virtual Console this week

A short while back European Wii U owners were treated to the release of Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising on the Wii U Virtual Console, it is safe to say that North American fans of the franchise were not to happy about having to wait but now these people can turn those frowns upside down and jump for joy. Nintendo’s website has provided official confirmation that the game will be among this weeks releases on the Wii U this Thursday, in case you are new to the Advance Wars franchise and want to know more you can read an overview about the game below:

Rain destruction upon their foul legions by ordering your troops effectively and overpowering your enemies with new Super Commanding Officer Powers. Take control of more units and battle on more maps than even the original Advance Wars had to offer. More terrain means more options, and more options means crazier creations. So employ every feature of the robust map designer to craft punishing maps, and then challenge the CPU or your friends on the battlefield. After a few battles, take your hard-earned points to the Battlemaps shop to purchase new maps, challenges, and Commanding Officers.
