Did any of you think that Activision would take a year off from milking their cash cow franchise Skylanders? Well if you did then you would be sadly mistaken as Activision confirmed yesterday during its latest financial results conference that a new entry in the popular Skylanders franchise would arriving later this year.
No official details about the upcoming next entry in the franchise have been announced just yet but Activision has specified that an “innovative” new entry is in development. For those concerned I would personally take the wording of innovative with a pinch of salt as the franchise has failed to deliver that since the first entry in 2011.
On a personal note I just wish Activision would take it away for a year and quit milking the franchise for what little it has left to offer.
