BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s Remaining Characters for 2.0 Update to be Announced on September 22

A major announcement for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is on the way.

Developer Arc System Works announced last month that nine characters were coming to BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle as part of a version 2.0 update. Four of the characters have been revealed so far, but Arc System Works has recently announced that we will soon know the identities of the other five characters. The company revealed that the announcement will be made on September 22 at 11:00 JST through a trailer. The trailer will be viewable on Twitch, YouTube, and NicoNico.

The first four characters that will be released with the version 2.0 update were announced at EVO 2019 after the BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Grand Finals. The first character revealed was Yumi from Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. Yumi will utilize ice and fans to take down her opponents. Two characters from Akatsuki Blitzkampf were then revealed: Akatsuki and Blitztank. Akatsuki will utilize electric fists and kicks to beat his opponents. Blitztank is a giant tank that will be able to smash through his opponents. The final character shown was Neo Politan from the RWBY series.

Cross Tag Battle’s version 2.0 update will drop in November. The free update will include major balances for all of the game’s characters. The character content pack that will release with the update will set gamers back $24.99. This pack will include the nine new characters, as well as a new scenario, new character interactions, and colors. The update will also provide a balance adjustment that will allow players to battle against the version 2.0 characters without buying the content pack.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is available now on the PC, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. Version 2.0 will release on November 21.
