It was revealed at E3 this year that Crash Bandicoot would finally be making a long awaited return, but before he can return to proper platforms, he must run the gauntlet and get transitioned into the Skylanders universe with the latest game Skylanders Imaginators. Sure, this may seem like a death sentence, but I assure you it isn't. Crash getting immortalized in plastic means his name becomes known once more, and Crash is not the only character from that universe that is seeing the Skylanders treatment.
An image (which you can see above), now removed from Gamestop's website, has revealed that Crash Bandicoot antagonist, Dr. Neo Cortex, will be getting immortalized for all to keep on their shelves. It may seem unimportant, but this is a big step for Crash Bandicoot's future, and once again giving a chance for even the villain to shine, and I admit this is actually quite exciting to hear, even if it is just from a figure collectors standpoint. Currently, it appears that Neo Cortex will be available exclusively in the Playstation 4 starter pack alongside Crash, however both characters will be available separately at a later date and they will be playable on all versions of the game including Nintendo and Xbox.
Skylanders Imaginators will be available this October, I think we can expect a proper reveal of Cortex sometime in the near future.
