Destiny 2 x PlayStation Collaboration Features The Last of Us Inspired Items

With the newest season of Destiny 2 kicking off today, Bungie has revealed they will be working in collaboration with Sony to bring some Playstation-themed cosmetics to the game.

Season of the Deep arrives to Destiny 2 today and to celebrate the newest season, fans can get their hands on some cosmetics inspired by their favourite PlayStation games. This is no doubt to commemorate the recent Sony acquisition.

As for the newest season of the space FPS, it is centred around an underwater theme. This includes a whole new bunch of scuba-inspired cosmetics, an underwater seasonal activity and even a new fishing mode available for Season Pass owners. Additionally, Lightfall + Annual Pass or Lightfall Dungeon Key owners will gain access to a brand new dungeon which will open on May 26.

As for the new PlayStation cosmetics, they will be available via the in-game store and celebrate all of Sony’s biggest titles. The first will be a cordyceps bundle inspired by The Last of Us. It will see your Ghost get a fungi-covered shell as well as a Blooming Terror Ship and Quarantine Runner Sparrow.

There are also nods to Kratos from God of War in the Titan armour, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn with the Hunter breast plate and Ghost of Tsushima’s Jin Sakai for Warlock. The latter will include a helm adorned with its own metal hair bun.

Last but not least, there is a nod to Ratchet & Clank with a new Gadgeteer emote. Although some much-loved Sony titles are missing from the collection, this may be the start of a continuing collaboration.

The PlayStation collaboration is now live in-game alongside the new Season of the Deep. You can access them through Destiny 2 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
