Dragon Ball FighterZ Switch Open Beta Dates Have Been Announced

We now know when the open beta for the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ will take place.

The open beta will run from Friday, August 10 at 12:00 a.m. ET to Sunday, August 12 at 3:00 a.m. ET. According to Gematsu, the following 23 characters will be available during the open beta:

  • Android 16
  • Android 18
  • Beerus
  • Captain Ginyu
  • Cell
  • Frieza
  • Gohan (Teen)
  • Gohan (Adult)
  • Goku (Super Saiyan)
  • Goku (SSGSS)
  • Goku Black
  • Gotenks
  • Hit
  • Kid Buu
  • Krillin
  • Majin Buu
  • Nappa
  • Piccolo
  • Tien
  • Trunks
  • Vegeta (Super Saiyan)
  • Vegeta (SSGSS)
  • Yamcha

It was also announced that there will be five game modes available during the open beta. There will be a new feature called the “Extreme Type” control scheme. This allows players to switch between standard and “Extreme Type” control schemes that enables players to execute special moves with ease. Arena Match will let players in the same lobby participate in one-versus-one matches, while the Replay Channel allows gamers to watch replays. Circle Match lets players create a circle in the lobby and recruit others to battle with players in that group. Finally, there is Circle Party Match, which is a battle mode where six players are recruited in a Circle Match and participate in the same battle.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will release on the Switch on September 28, 2018.
