The video game industry’s biggest event is staying in California. Electronic Entertainment Expo is going to stay in Los Angeles, California through 2015. It was also said that E3 2013 will be taking place on June11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and neighboring venues.
Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was pleased with the decision, “The City of Los Angeles is thrilled to welcome E3 back for another three years. My office was committed to doing whatever it took to keep the largest annual conference that the city hosts here for another three years. The City is grateful the Entertainment Software Association continues to view LA, the entertainment capital of the world, as the ideal location for the world’s premiere video game convention.”
Fun Fact: The annual gaming celebration has been held in L.A. for 16 of its 18 years of continuation. The two other host cities were in Atlanta, Georgia (1997) and Santa Monica, California (2007).
