On March 25th, 2014, Ether One will finally be released on Steam! It’s a strange, psychological, adventure by White Paper Games.
I have a review copy ready and waiting in my Steam account, and cannot wait to finally sit down and delve into this strange world. Look forward to a review soon, along with a Let’s Play of the game as soon as we’re allowed to post it!
In Ether One, you take on the role of a Restorer. From what I can tell, you enter the minds of the crazy and demented, in order to restore their sanity by finding fragments. Ha! I get it. While you’re diving Matrix style into their brains, something goes horribly wrong. It looks like it’s going to be a wild ride, with the world shifting, tearing, and crumbling all around you!
Ether One™ is a first person adventure that deals with the fragility of the human mind.
There are two paths in the world you can choose from. At its core is a story exploration path free from puzzles where you can unfold the story at your own pace.
There is also a deeper, more adventurous path in which you can complete complex puzzles to restore life changing events of the patients history in order to help the validation of their life.
The choice is left to you. –ether-game.com
It will also be available for the Oculus Rift, GOG, Humble & Gamers Gate, with a Mac release shortly after the PC release.
