Some fish can only be found in specific seasons in particular fishing spots. So, it will take you a while to complete your Fishing Almanac in Fields of Mistria. One such fish you’ll need to find on your journey is salmon; and we’ve got the guide to help!
How To Catch Salmon
To catch any fish, you need to first buy a Fishing Rod from Terithia’s shop located on the beach. You can buy one for 500 Tesserae, or if you want to save cash, you can craft a Fishing Rod using the workbench outside the Blacksmith’s shop. You can obtain the ore required to craft it from the mines. You can obtain Iron and Silver ores in deeper floors, but for starters you can craft a Fishing Rod with Bronze Ingots that can be crafted using Bronze ores.
Salmon is a river fish, which means you cannot find it in ponds or the sea near the beach. The River fishing spots are located near the Town of Mistria, in the northern part of Eastern Road, and The Narrows. Salmon is a large fish, so you need to cast your rod where you can spot a larger fish shadow. Salmon appears quite frequently, so you will be able to find it after a few tries, however the fish is only available in Spring and Fall seasons.
You can sell the salmon you have caught for 40 Tesserae, which might be helpful in the early game especially when you are relying on selling the items you have obtained from the wild to earn cash. Salmon can also be used to complete the quest “Request For Salmon” and Josephine will reward you with 50 Tesserae in return. Salmon can also be used for cooking, you can make a Salmon Sashimi as a beginner in the kitchen. There’s a lot to do with salmon in Fields of Mistria, so we hope this guide helped!
