PlayStation 4 owners now know when they will be able to get their hands on Ghost of Tsushima
On the PlayStation Blog, developer Sucker Punch announced that Ghost of Tsushima will release for the PlayStation 4 on June 26. The game was originally revealed back in 2017, and was given a summer release window this past December. The title is the first to come out of Sucker Punch’s studio since the dual release of Infamous Second Son and Infamous First Light back in 2014.
Along with the release date, various editions of Ghost of Tsushima have been revealed. The Digital Deluxe edition comes with a digital copy of the game and the Hero of Tsushima skin set. It also comes with two in-game items: the Charm of Hachiman’s Favor and one technique point, as well as a PlayStation 4 dynamic theme. Players will also receive a digital mini art book by Dark Horse, as well as Director’s Commentary. This edition will run gamers $69.99.
The game’s physical Special Edition comes with a SteelBook case and the Hero of Tsushima mask and sword skin. It also comes with the in-game items, digital art book, and Director’s Commentary found in the Digital Deluxe edition. The Special Edition of the game will also cost $69.99. Finally, there is the Collector’s Edition, which will set players back $169.99. This edition comes with everything that is found in the Special Edition, though the art book is now physical. It will also come with a cloth map of the game’s world, a war banner, wrapping cloth, and physical recreation of the mask that players will wear in the game, along with a stand to display the mask. All of these editions of the game are available for pre-order now.
Sucker Punch also released a story trailer for Ghost of Tsushima. The trailer shows off two characters that will be important in the life of the protagonist Jin. The first is his uncle, Shimura, who raised Jin in the way of the samurai. The second is Khotun Khan, the leader of the Mongol army that is invading Jin’s homeland. You can check the trailer below.
Ghost of Tsushima will release on June 26 for the PlayStation 4. The game is likely to be one of the few remaining PlayStation 4 exclusives with the PlayStation 5 dropping later this year.
