Latest Dragon Ball FighterZ Update Adds New Tournament Mode

Several new features have been added to Dragon Ball FighterZ, with more on the way.

In a new update, which released today, several modes were added to Dragon Ball FighterZ. The first is a brand new tournament mode. In this online mode, 8 players will duke it out to be the champion. Each tournament will have unique rule sets, such as a Yamcha-only tournament, a 1-on-1 tournament, or a tournament comprised of only characters who can use the Kamehameha technique. The winner will receive prizes and Z trophies, which can be displayed in the brand new Z Trophy Rooms.

The Z Trophy Room is another new feature. Players can buy different rooms with in-game Zeni, and display their earned trophies in them. They can also be customized by adding lobby avatars. Players can invite their friends to check out their Z Trophy Room, and can visit other players’ rooms.

Another update is coming to FighterZ on December 5th, and will contain Christmas themed items. This includes Santa Claus themed avatars for Vegeta, Android 18, Tien, and Trunks, as well as a reindeer dressed Krillin and a snowman Buu. All characters will also receive a Christmas themed color set to battle in.

You can check out a trailer for the new update below.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
