The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings back a mechanic from Breath of The Wild that many fans may not even have been aware of. No longer do you need to worry about acciddentally wasting those precious pieces of light that you’ve worked so hard to earn solving shrine puzzles. We’ll guide you through how to trade Stamina for Hearts and where to find the surprisingly friendly Cursed Statue in this handy guide!
In Tears of the Kingdom, there are over one hundred shrines spread out across the land of Hyrule. Most of these shrines are full of puzzles or challenges that will reward you with a Light of Blessing that you can then use in exchange for a Heart Piece or a Stamina Wheel Piece. But what if you change your mind later? Luckily, there’s a statue that can help you!
How To Respec In Tears Of The Kingdom
You will need to make your way to Lookout Landing and then climb down to the Emergency Bunker. There you’ll find a woman named Jerrin who is standing amongst a bit of a mess with a big hole in the wall across from her.
Talk with Jerrin to start the quest Who Goes There? You’ll hear a ghostly voice float in from beyond the wall. To get through the maze beyond the wall you will need a hammer of some sort or some Bomb Flowers, as there are rocks to break. Head right and make your way toward the spooky voice and eventually, you will meet the Cursed Statue who, despite his name and scary demeanor, is a wonderful guy.
The Cursed Statue Lays Out The Rules
- You can sell a Stamina Vessel or a Heart Piece to him and you will gain 100 Rupees.
- Then, you can buy one back for 120 Rupees.
This allows you to trade in heart pieces for a stamina wheel piece or vice versa – although it will cost you a few Rupees to do so. So ideally if you have a lot of hearts but are wanting more stamina, for example, you can trade in five hearts for five stamina. This is such a great way to level Link according to your playstyle and how you approach Tears of the Kingdom.
