With the Mortal Kombat 1 reboot launching this September, Warner Bros. has announced that an online stress test for the game will be available soon with registrations open now.
The Mortal Kombat 1 reboot is one of the most anticipated games of the year and now fans can experience it before it fully launches. This is courtesy of an Online Stress Test for the game which includes inviting players to test out the online infrastructure as well as discover any possible issues ahead of launch.
The Test will be available for players based in North America, Latin America, Brazil and Europe. However, it will only be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S users (PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold are not required).
Additionally, you will also need a Warner Bros. account in order to sign in and register. You can register here but be aware that signing up does not guarantee entry.
The website highlights that the Stress Test is not a beta and is unrelated to the Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order Beta that will go live in August 2023. As it is strictly a test, it is very likely that you will run into a few issues. However, you can use this opportunity to report any feedback.
As for what you will have access to, you will be able to dive into 1v1 online multiplayer and limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against AI opponents. However despite the multiplayer mode, the Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test will not support cross-platform play.
So if you want the chance to try before you buy, make sure to register now. There has been no confirmed date as to when the Stress Test will go live but we will be sure to update you when we know. Until then, make sure you make room on your PC after the news the infamous video game will require 100GB of storage.
Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release on September 19, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
