A new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was shared by Activision. This trailer shows off COD’s Zombie mode and introduces the game’s four playable characters. It will have three Zombie episodes, two of which will be available this fall at the launch of the game. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Zombie mode will also have a story behind it, unlike its predecessors where it was just wave after wave of enemies.
Black Ops 4’s Zombies mode follows the story of Scarlett Rhodes, a young woman searching for her father who mysteriously disappeared 15 years ago. On the search for her father, she meets three strangers who want to aid her in her endeavor because they feel indebted to her father. They find a relic which gives its user the power to bring the dead to life and also the power to travel through time.
The settings of the two Zombie episodes, titled Voyage of Despair and IX, can be briefly seen in the trailer. Voyage of Despair takes place on board the famous ship, the Titanic in which the crew and passengers have been Zombified. IX takes players to Rome, in a battle arena where they fight monsters and Zombie tigers like the Gladiators of old.
We know the title of the third episode to be Blood of the Dead, but no content was shared for it during the trailer. The game will also have a new seasonal feature called “Callings” on a daily, monthly and yearly basis that gamers can try out with friends or Artificial Intelligence (AI) bots.
