Owlboy Soars off to Consoles

If you’re an indie fan, but a keyboard and mouse setup just isn’t your thing, D-Pad Studio announced that Owlboy is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this winter season.

The announcement flew from D-Pad Studio’s official Twitter page, expressing their excitement. Owlboy is set to release digitally on February 13, with the physical edition’s release dates to be announced sometime in the future.

For those unfamiliar with Owlboy, this fantasy action-adventure “hi-bit” beauty features Otus on his quest through ruins, dungeons, and open-world sky pirate battles in an effort to traverse through owl-hood. Though Otus may not be able to fight on his own, he has a multitude of friends on his side that can help him throughout his journey.

A project that is ten years in the making, Owlboy is an indie labor of love that is sure to appeal to those who admire gorgeous pixel art, amazing soundtracks, and unexpected journeys. For more information, check out the original release trailer below:
