P.T spiritual successor Allison Road has been cancelled

When Konami cancelled Silent Hills back in 2015 they took away one of the most promising horror experiences in years, following the playable teaser for the game that was P.T many of us got excited for just how wonderful this game was. The ambience of the repeated setting in this teaser was fascinating, and I was truly on edge playing this game, but this made Silent Hills cancellation all the more hurtful, it had potential.

Luckily a few developers were quick to come to the rescue, they got set to prepare games that filled the void and would act as spiritual successors to the cancelled game. One of these was Allison Road, a game as touted by the developer Lillith LTD. to be the spiritual successor to P.T. This game first arrived as Kickstarter campaign and caught the attention of many different people, and soon after the Kickstarter campaign was cancelled and Allison Road was picked up by Team17 as part of a publishing deal.

Suffice it to say many of us were excited to see this project come to fruition, but now it seems this game is another false dream, and another project we will never get to play, and this all because Allison Road has been officially cancelled. Developer Lillith LTD. took to the official Allison Road twitter account to reveal the sad news sharing:

Hi all. Sadly Allison Road had to be cancelled. Statement to come in the next few days. Thx for all your support and very sad it came 2 this.

Another game that had a lot of promise has gone to soon, does this really show the issue of the industry and that we should not look forward to games, or that developers should not make promises they can’t keep, it seems to be the case. As the above message says no reason has been given and we will have to wait a few days to find out why this project has been cancelled, I will be sure to follow up on this when I know more.
