Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee Introduce Master Trainers

Nintendo has revealed post-game content for Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee.

In a new trailer (seen below), we are introduced to Master Trainers. These special trainers are spread throughout all of Kanto, but will only be available to challenge after gamers have defeated the Elite 4.

Master Trainers will specialize in one specific Pokemon, which the player has to use when battling them. The matches will be one-on-one, and no items can be used. There will be 151 of them scattered around Kanto. Players can identify a Master Trainer by a thought bubble over their heads containing their favorite Pokemon. When a Master Trainer is defeated, players will earn their title, which can be displayed in-game.

Earlier this year, special Let’s Go Switch bundles were announced. The bundle includes a Switch, Poké Ball Plus, and a copy of either Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee. The Switch features a decal of Pikachu and Eevee on the system’s dock, as well as silhouettes of the two Pokemon on the back of the system itself. The Joy-Con controllers feature color schemes based on the two Pokemon.

Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee will release for the Nintendo Switch on November 16th.
